Relax gang ... while yes there are a few changes underway ... most were planned long before the Heather situation. And so you'll know, this is more of a falling out between Heather & KittyRose and not as much as the groups themselves. You see, while KittyRose has been a friend of the family for decades and became my caregiver after my stroke in 2002 ... it was only 13 months ago that Rose became Heather's Step Mom. So without getting to personal, i think you can imagine what this type of change could bring.
 
As for me personally, stepping down from the moderators control panel will be a good thing thing ... i promise you, it's all good. KittyRose,  Becky & Steve Pix came up with a great idea so that ALL group members can take part in the groups moderation without the use of any management control panel ... i'm telling you ... you ALL will really love this idea, since it will require less management time and allow for more play time.
 
Also remember, we now have 60+ paying PROmisfits (and growing like a weed) who are ALL qualified to be control panel moderators ... but yahoo will only allow for 12 slots at a time. So please relax and be patient as these new Special Notices are put out to ALL members.  There will be one notice to all of the existing control panel mods in just a few minutes ... then followed by an all groups notice which will show how ALL members can help moderate the groups without the control panel.
 
Additionally, there will be no need for any new staff voting procedures. Steve Pix, an old family friend (almost like a son in law - lol) and a long term group member has agreed to buy out Heather's share of the MisfitsCafe biz and take over in her stead ... and since KittyRose, Becky & myself still hold the lions share of the voting stock ... there will be no need for an all out members vote at this time.
 
This is one advantage to having the controlling interest of the MisfitsCafe.Biz under one roof ... when changes do present themselves ... situations can be resolved more quickly. However, on the flip-side of this ... when you have several strong minded misfits coming and going all the time under the same roof .... occasional tempers will fly ... glad you ALL missed that part. - lmao
 
So for now, you all continue to play and have fun ... keep the lasagna flying ... and let your staff here at HQ take care of the business end. Watch for our additional notices coming soon ... K?!

And, Heather is definitely entitled to take all her investment funds with her, no question about it. They are hers to do with as she wishes. Just ask her to please stay away from the casinos....she can't double your money there:)
Again, I truly wish her luck in any and all future endeavors and as well know everything will be well taken care of in the capable hands of KittyRose, BeckyK and JollyJohn. They have my utmost support, for what it is worth...but am sorry there is not much more than I can do, with both my limited time and current knowledge.

With Heather's resignation, this means in order to satisfy our Operational Agreement here at the MisfitsCafe HQ ... (which requires our LLC to maintain a volunteer staff of five at all times) ... we will need to nominate and hold an election which will involve ALL group members who are registered with the MisfitsCafe ... and as always, each member is entitled to one vote for each Tip Jar they hold.
