Few people would need background info on these guys.  In 1971, three former members of Savoy Brown joined up with guitarist Rod Price to form Foghat.  They then relocated from the UK to the US and signed a record deal with Bearsville Records.  While Savoy Brown put the accent on blues in bluesrock, Foghat hit the throttle on the rock.  Amazingly, they successfully put out a string of best-selling albums using the same three chord boogie.  In fact, their first two albums were both simply called "Foghat".  The second album showed a picture of a rock and pastry roll and was subsequently retitled as "Rock and Roll".  In the 1980s, Dave Peverett and Rod Price left the band and the albums issued during that decade were pretty mediocre.  Dave and Rod came back in the Nineties and their albums magically got better.  Therefore, I am giving you their albums that were released during the Seventies and Nineties but have omitted those that came out in the Eighties.  Well, I actually didn't give you all the albums issued in the Nineties because, although they were good, most were just a redux of what they played during the Seventies.  I believe the band is still touring without Peverett who died in 2000 from cancer.  I have also given you the two solo albums put out by Rod Price.  Download any of these and get ready to boogie!
