Pot-Luck-Humor - Glass Harp (one of two)

My buddy, "Hawkeye", has been prolific in bringing new artists (and their music) to my ears and my archives.  I believe you'll enjoy Phil Keaggy just as much as I do!

Phil Keaggy has been consistently ranked by Guitar Player Magazine as being one of the three best finger style and finger picking guitarist in the world.  Considering he lost the middle finger on his right hand at the age of 4, this is even more remarkable.  When he was ten, Phil wanted to be a drummer but his family couldn't afford to buy him a drum kit so his dad bought him a Sears Silvertone guitar instead.  By the time he turned thirteen, Phil was playing professionally.    At the age of 17, he and two friends formed a power trio called the Glass Harp.  Within a year, Phil was into drugs.  After his mother died when he was 19, Phil became a born-again Christian.  The Glass Harp recorded their first album at the Electric Ladyland Studios two weeks after Hendrix died.  After a couple years, Phil left Glass Harp to pursue a solo career.
