Pot-Luck-Humor - PERSONAL @ Special Notice #2

 

Several moderators have contacted me (off-group) ... expressing their concern about my stepping down as one of the group's moderators. I just wanted you to know this is not a bad thing, but a good thing. This is the first of several steps ... which will allow ALL of our control panel mods to finally break free from both the time & stress involved in that ordeal ... while simutanesouly increasing more group participation from the members, themselves.
 
Part of our HQ staff who are also long term mods (over in our central FL group) started this a few weeks ago and WOW ... i know this is going to be hard to believe, but you can actually run & moderate a group without the use of the manager's contol panel. Not only is this much less work and less stressfull ... it also allows the HQ staff to carefully screen (interview) all potential / pending members BEFORE being allowed to enter (or stay in) our group.
 
Additionally, all existing members who are bouncing, lurking or otherwise inactive will be contacted one by one by the HQ staff and asked to upgrade their existing membership to at least the free Tip Jar version of a MisfitsCafe registered membership level. In other words, ALL members must be registered here at HQ or no more group for them. The results of this in our old private / local group has cleaned out some of the cob webs & riff raff ... while on the other hand, sent a new level of both group participation and new finacial supporters for the MisfitsCafe.
 
This is why you are seeing so many unheard of FL members on our sponsors list. With that said, it will be required that ALL of us with mod panel access will have to relinquish that access. Due to a number of legal, privacy and security concerns ... only Flordia State Board Certified MisfitsCafe.Biz LLC Directors (the HQ staff) can have access to the control panel from now on. The main reason for this, is the protection of each members personal info, ie. street addresses, phone numbers, credit card & tax id numbers,  etc.
 
The "owners" email addy will be used to exchange some of this info and therefore, only the HQ staff who are listed with the State of Florda can have that access. With that said, and if this applies to you ... just after this email is sent you will recieve the same message i got from Yahoo yesterday, when i resigned my moderation access to the control panel. It should read something like this ...
 
 
promisfit has changed your membership status for the
group (name of group here) from Moderator to Member.
 
 
Please do not be alarmed by this .... because when you get my Special Notice #3 ... it will show you and ALL the other group members how we can self-moderate our group without the use of the control panel. I promise, you will truely love this new method.
 
BTW: just for going through this transition with me, i will be transfering an extra $100 Tip Jar from my MisfitsCafe account to yours. Now watch for that email from Yahoo, which will then be followed by Special Notice #3. ---- Thanks & Looking Forward - steve :-)
