The U Tube connection at bottom has some interesting pictures and videos from ~1913 about our civil war heritage.
The scene showing former Confederate and Union soldiers shaking hands over a low wall was shot at Cemetery Ridge, the target for " Pickett 's Charge." The Yankees were crouched behind the wall and it was too well defended for a charge to succeed, something General Longstreet understood but for some reason the brilliant General Lee did not.
Civil War Veteran Reunion - 1913
Hope this gets around to every American to see and reflect on our historical past. Now, 150 years later, we are even more politically divided as a nation than in the 1860s. Amazing!
