Ryan vs. Belichick? Jets/Pats Will Come Down To Sanchez vs. Brady As much as Rex Ryan wants it to be "personal" between he and Bill Belichick, Sunday's divisional game between the New York Jets and the New England Patriots won't come down to a battle of head coaches. As Belichick said  "I don't think you'll see either one of us out there making any blocks or tackles or runs or throws or catches." Both coaching staffs will have their prospective charges ready. The game will come down to the players making the plays on the field. Two of the key players are Mark Sanchez and Tom Brady. Their play will determine who moves on to the AFC championship. Tom Brady heads off the field after a New England win Sanchez 2010 regular season numbers: 3291 yards, 507 attempts with 278 completions, 17 TD and 13 interceptions, with a passer rating of 75.3 He's been sacked 27 times, and fumbled 9 times, only losing one. Brady's 2010 numbers: 3900 yards, 492 att., 324 comp., a league high 36 TD's and a remarkable 4 interceptions, for a league leading rating of 111.0. Brady has been sacked 25 times, fumbled three times, losing one. Sanchez was merely mortal versus New England in two games this season. He's 33-68 with 384 yards, 3TD's and 3 picks. Brady's numbers against the Jets look like this: 41-65, 574 yards, 6 TD's, 2 picks. Sanchez had earned a reputation for being a poor cold weather QB. In December of this year, he's 77-143, with one TD and 6 picks. He was sacked 8 times in December. Brady: 78-120, 998 yards, 11 TD's and 0 picks. Sanchez' postseason career numbers don't necessarily have him bound for Canton. Over four games, he's 59-99, 728 yards, 4 TD's and 3 INT's. Brady's post season numbers have a the sculpturer on stand by: 395-637, with 4108 yards, 28 TD's and 15 INT's. Brady will be the difference Sunday versus the Jets. Brady has a lifetime 14-4 postseason record, good for 2nd all time in wins behind the great Joe Montana. Brady has engineered 31 career game-winning performances to lead his team to a victory when tied or trailing in the fourth quarter. The combination of Brady's post season prowess and the Jets red zone struggles in 2010 will tilt this game in New England's favor. No matter how much Ryan wishes it to be about him.
