;o)                                                         The first wave of snowbirds has been spotted just below the Canadian/US border.     Forecasters predict the snowbirds will continue heading in a southeasterly direction-                  Unless steering currents, such as cheaper gas     Or visits to distant relatives homes -                                   Causes the wave to shift course.       According to the latest computer models, the initial wave is projected To hit northern Florida and other points south, in about five to six weeks,   With hordes of others soon to follow, staking claim to their winter nesting spots.       The Snowbird Heuristic Information Tracking System (SHITS) Has indicated that this first group may be exceptionally nasty and heavier than prior waves, Due to the colder than normal summers in their native homelands.             Local residents are advised to stock up On essentials before this wave arrives -         ;o) And businesses are advised to work on being cordial In order to sustain the least damage from this front.           This has been a public service announcement made possible By your local AARP news station and Florida's only....
