Pot-Luck-Humor - Ian @ ... and the doctor said ...

First, many thanks to all who responded with their words of encouragement ... for it is you in which i draw most of my inner strength to carry on with such a strict regimen.

Hi Ian, i too had a stroke back in 2002, but it was related to my  cardiovascular disease and not the cancer. Before i tell you what i do ... i want you to understand that most folks will not do what i am doing (or they will wait until to late) ... they would rather stick to their normal routines and simply place themselves into the hands of conventional medicine, So do not be alarmed or depressed if your aunt wishes not to make these changes and chooses the path of sure death instead (i know my father did)..

Personally, i want to live longer and healthier, only to learn as much as i can about all sorts of  topics. I traveled and seen all i care to .... but my mind has been begging for more knowledge ... ever since i started my research here on the net, some years back.

I've found, that not only cancer, but almost ALL diseases can either be sent into remission or even cure ... based on how far one is willing to discipline themselves in various lifestyle changes. ALL disease is caused by both deficiencies & toxicities. Most deficiencies come from eating over cooked and processed foods ... while toxins come at us from everywhere (including our food).

Our planet has become a toxic cesspool and most of the free world is over fed, but under nourished. Ever since man has taken up agriculture (10,000 years ago) has most of these diseases come into play. When we domesticated the plants and animals, we changed the evolutionary chemical make up of our foods which mother nature had designed to keep us strong and healthy.

So in a nut-shell here, we want to put as much of the pre-agriculture type foods back into our life ... while riding ourselves of as many of the toxins as possible. AND since cancer is sitting on top of the medical food chain (so to speak) we have to take massive action to beat it. Most other diets to fight diseases are not quite as strict as the one needed for cancer.

One must stop anything & everything which is toxic ... like, smoking, foods with additives, preservatives, salts, sugars, tap water from drinking to showers, soaps, deodorants, etc. ---none of this stuff is natural and is toxic to the human body ... in other words, if it does not grow naturally in nature ... it must be left alone ... this includes farm raised meats, dairy, beans, legumes grains, potatoes and other starches .... plus most cooked veggies. We need the healing phytonutrients in plant based foods, which are destoyed when cooked. In other words, eat as much raw as possible.

Also, with my cancer diet ... the cancer feeding sweet fruits are a no no as well. At least until six months after given a clean bill of health again. In other words, we need to strive for a High Nutrient Dense / Ultra Low Calorie diet of primarily leafy greens, cruciferous and other veggies, berries, garlic, etc. ... with occasional wild meats that are high in the Omega-3 Fatty Acids ... like wild turkey, venison, bison, elk, cold water WILD caught fish, etc ... and if one does have farm raised meats ... it must be the Organic, Free Range type. Remember, No Dairy.

Additionally, the total protein from these meats should not exceed 10% of total daily calories ... anything over that, actually turns on the cancer causing genes. This diet is easier said, than done ... trust me ... but then again ... do you want to live or die ... for that is the question. I've used this to treat my cardiovascular / heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, etc, etc. .... and it is working with amazing results.

As for the Vitamin D ... your aunt will need to get her blood levels checked. Most conventional doctors do not mess with this ... since the RDA is still set at 400 IU and most of that can be had through fortified foods ... BUT ... most of those foods were just eliminated above ... PLUS ... 400 IU was determined decades ago in preventing Rickets ... which it does ...

However, to treat heart disease, cancer, diabetes and many others ... we need much, much more. Most doctors consider normal blood levels of Vitamin D to be around the 20 ng/ml range ... BUT new research is showing ranges of 40 to 60 ng/ml in the prevention & treatment of these other diseases. Some cancers don't budge until the 60 to 80 ng/ml range is achieved. So i'm shooting for the80 ng/ml myself.

Most doctors will not work with you on this ... however, i too have Stage 2 Kidney Disease and my Neuphrologist is giving me a pharmaceutical grade of Vit D at 50,000 IU / week ... then i told her i lost my last script ... and got a second, where i get filled at a different drug store, without using my insurance (shhh - don't tell - lol).

Therefore, i'm doing 100,000 IU / week, until my blood levels reach that 80 ng/ml level. Many doctors are concerned about the uncertain toxicity levels of vitamin D ... some say a 100 to 150+ ... others say 250+ ... but since ALL diseases, including cancer respond positively at levels in the 50 to 80 range .. that is my goal ... most importantly here, is that your aunt keeps an eye on those numbers ... preferably, with the cooperation of a doctor.

I figure once my "D" levels stabilize ... i will be able to do over the counter "D" of around 5,000 IU daily during the summer ... and 10,000 IU daily during the winter. In fact, EVERYONE should be taking these higher "D" dosages during the winter ... and try to get more sunshine (about 15 minutes daily) during the summer.

Here is a list of video lectures by doctors from all over who did a big session out at the University of California earlier. With this and the dietary / lifestyle changes i mentioned earlier ... we can live much longer and healthier lives ... but like i said in the beginning ... don't be depressed if this is to much for your aunt ... many folks would rather die than make these changes.

Well today was my 90 day follow up with the oncologist ... and he said (with amazement), "whatever you are doing, keep doing it." He didn't seem that interested in my vitamin D and nutritional approach ... other than my white blood cell count (wbc) has dropped back into the high-normal range.

Normal WBC's run between 4 and 10 ... the oncologist office shows 10.9 on their charts, as still being normal. At the first of the year my WBC was 11.2 and my PCP figured infection and prescribed some antibiotics. Didn't help, but due to her moving, i had to switch to a new PCP ... who was not interested in the WBC at that time. Anyways, long story short, my WBC was 11.8 in April and 12.6 in June.

It was then, that i was referred to a infectious disease specialist ... after more very expensive blood work ... any  infections were ruled out and i was diagnosed with the leukemia / lymphoma CLL/SLL Zap-70 positive. When i first saw my oncologist (in July), my WBC had jumped out to 13.4 iand 14.8 in Aug. When i showed up today, their office had already made plans to start some kind of pre-chemo with some kind of drug called blah-blah-globin(?) ...

... i threw a fit and said ... hey wait a minute ... you said No chemo until my WBC had doubled to the 25 to 30 range. I'm trying to beat this crap through a nutritional & vitamin D approach. So i insisted that they do another WBC ... and guess what ... it has dropped a full 4 points in a 90 day period. I had only a 10.8 WBC today (the lowest this year) ... and bet i drop even further with this diet & viatmin D therapy. So the doctor canceled his pre-chemo, put me back on the 90 day observation window and instead, referred me to having a colonoscopy. ... which I was suppose to do back in '07, but had to cancel due to lack of insurance.

I'm telling you folks ... you need to take charge of your own health & medical research and keep these damn doctors in line. There are dozens of proven alternatives out there, that the conventional big pharma docs won't discuss. So it's up to you (us). They are all trained in the mainstream methods of treatment which are nothing more than chemo, radiation & surgery .... in their world, there is NO cures. Only the treating of symptoms until they have all of your estate (or until you finally croak).

Dr, Nair is really a nice guy ... still on the young side and not yet calloused from all the death that goes with cancer. While he refused to give me a second script for another 50,000 IU weekly vitamin D (i've got other ways for that) ... he is very much aware of the approach i am using and did encourage me to keep doing what ever i'm doing to bring my blood levels back in order.

If you, or a loved one is fighting cancer (or any disease) ... i'll be more than glad to talk to you off group about my very strict regimen ... while, i'm not out of the medical woods yet ... i've seen enough now, personally, to know that this DOES work ... if you work it. It's only a decision about living (or dying) ... and extending life with less aches & pains.
