 Brett Favre fined $50,000 by NFLDecember 29, 2010
The NFL has fined Brett Favre $50,000 for a "failure to cooperate" with the league's investigation into allegations that he sent X-rated photos to former New York Jets game-day hostess Jenn Sterger. In a statement issued by the league, Commissioner Roger Goodell determined that Favre was "not candid in several respects during the investigation, resulting in a longer review and additional negative public attention for Favre, Sterger and the NFL." Goodell said that there was not enough evidence to conclude that Favre violated the league's personal-conduct policy. -- Melissa Rohlin The Associated Press contributed to this report.
