I HAVE EATEN CARP AND THEY ARE GOOD. YOU NEED TO FILET THEM THEN REMOVE THE DARK MEAT ALONG THE BONE, THATS WHERE MOST OF THE MUD TASTE COMES FROM, SOAK THE WHITE MEAT ABIT IN SALT WATER THEN FRY. MMMmmm.

AS FOR THE ALLIGATOR FISH, NEVER TRIED THEM, THEY STINK WHEN CUT AND NEED A CHAIN SAW TO CUT THEM.  LOL

BTW, WHEN I FIRST WENT TO PA. I WAS TOLD I CCOULDN'T EAT CAT FISH THEY WERE POISON. I TOLD THEM IF THAT WAS TRUE; EVERYBODY IN THE SOUTH WOULD BE DEAD!   LOL
